As you all know, one of the most important issues that our state freedom caucuses fight for is protecting the innocence of children. That fight is about to come to Pennsylvania in a BIG way.

In 2019, Penn State University Health established a pediatric “gender-affirming care” clinic, aka, a place kids with gender dysphoria go to receive life-altering and irreversible medical services. With budget debates coming up in the PA House, PA Freedom Caucus member Rep. Aaron Bernstine gave Penn State – as well as Temple University and the University of Pittsburg – a deadline of June 2 to provide data on the services being provided to kids by their university health systems.

Penn State got back to them and their data shows they have given puberty blockers and other disgusting “gender-affirming” services to hundreds of minors, some as young as five.

In response, the PA Freedom Caucus announced they are going to oppose the $882 million in funding the hospitals are set to receive in the 2023-24 state budget unless these policies change.

South Dakota:

One of the biggest attacks on private property rights in American history has come to South Dakota and most of their “Republican” elected officials are doing nothing to stop it. Over 80 landowners are facing eminent domain lawsuits from a company looking to build a “carbon capture” pipeline that runs through their state for ethanol plants in Iowa.

The company, Summit Carbon Solutions, has massive ties to influential figures and donors in the Republican Party and were platinum sponsors of Gov. Kristi Noem’s inauguration back in January. Unfortunately, multiple bills championed by the South Dakota Freedom Caucus to protect landowners from eminent domain failed in the last legislative session. But the SD Freedom Caucus hasn’t stopped fighting.

Louisiana:

Last week, RINO Louisiana State Sen. Fred Mills made headlines by voting with Democrats in the Health & Welfare Committee to kill the bill to ban transgender procedures for minors. Despite this shocking betrayal to Republicans in the state, a motion to recommit the bill to the Judiciary Committee succeeded in the Senate, and the bill passed on a 29-10 vote.

In addition, LA Freedom Caucus member Rep. Kathy Edmonston’s bill to ban COVID vaccine mandates at all public and private K-12 schools and colleges made it through the full legislature.

It was an extremely productive week for conservatives in the Bayou State.

Wyoming:

Speaking of tax dollars funding mutilations of children, the same thing is happening in Wyoming. Yes, not California, but Wyoming.

We have written at length about how in the last legislative session, RINO Wyoming House Speaker Albert Sommers singlehandedly blocked the bill to ban pediatric gender mutilations from coming to the floor. Well, the WY Department of Health recently removed those types of procedures from the list of treatments not covered by Medicaid.

The WYFC is demanding answers. Here’s their letter:
